This Privacy Policy explains how DijitalWorlds processes information when you use Vision AI: Photo Cleaner and related website pages. The app is designed to help you find duplicate photos, similar photos, and screenshots while keeping photo analysis on your Mac.
Summary:
Photo comparison and grouping are designed to run locally on your device.
We do not need to upload your photo library to detect cleanup candidates.
The app does not delete photos automatically; you review selections before removal.
1. Data Controller
DijitalWorlds is the data controller for information processed through our website, support channels, and product communications. Local files and photos scanned by the app remain under your control on your Mac.
2. Data Processed by the App
To provide duplicate and similar photo cleanup, the app may access data you choose to scan, including:
Photos, screenshots, image thumbnails, file names, paths, dates, sizes, and metadata needed for comparison.
Local folders, Photos libraries, and connected storage sources you explicitly select.
Scan progress, grouped cleanup candidates, and your review or delete selections.
This information is used to show results inside the app. We do not store your photo content on our servers.
3. Connected Sources
If you connect or select services such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or a local folder, the app uses the access you grant only to scan and display cleanup candidates. Provider permissions can be revoked through the provider, macOS settings, or the app workflow where available.
4. Website, Support, and Diagnostics
If you contact us for support, we may process the information you send, such as your email address, device model, macOS version, app version, screenshots you voluntarily attach, and support messages. We use this information only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve reliability.
5. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos for advertising profiles. We do not use your personal photo library, any Google user data, any data from Dropbox, OneDrive, or iCloud, or any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized (non-personalized) AI and/or machine learning models. The app's on-device Vision analysis runs locally and does not send data to any AI model or third party.
6. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not share, transfer, or disclose your personal data with any third party. Not with service providers, advertisers, data brokers, analytics platforms, AI model providers, or anyone else. We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data. This applies equally to data from every connected source:
Google Drive (Google user data): file metadata accessed via the Google Drive API is processed entirely locally on your Mac and is never shared, transferred, or disclosed to anyone.
Dropbox: file metadata accessed via the Dropbox API is processed entirely locally on your Mac and is never shared, transferred, or disclosed to anyone.
OneDrive (Microsoft user data): file metadata accessed via the Microsoft Graph API is processed entirely locally on your Mac and is never shared, transferred, or disclosed to anyone.
iCloud Drive and Photos library: files and photos are read directly through macOS on your device and are never shared, transferred, or disclosed to anyone.
We do not collect or process any of this data on our servers at all. The app has no backend: all scanning, duplicate detection, and grouping happen entirely locally on your Mac, solely to detect duplicate and similar photos, and your data never leaves your device. Because we never receive or store your data, there is nothing we could share or disclose to anyone. For Google user data, this complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Data Protection and Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards to protect sensitive data, including Google user data and data accessed from Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, and your Photos library:
Encryption in transit: all communication with Google, Dropbox, and Microsoft APIs and other connected storage providers occurs over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
Secure credential storage: OAuth access and refresh tokens for Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive are stored encrypted in the macOS Keychain on your device — never on our servers — and are used only to perform the scans you request. iCloud Drive and Photos access uses macOS system permissions; no credentials are stored by the app.
Local processing: photo analysis, duplicate detection, and grouping run on your Mac. Photo content and file contents from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, and your Photos library are not uploaded to, stored on, or accessible from our servers.
Data minimization: the app requests only the minimum scopes and accesses only the files and folders you explicitly select for scanning.
Access control and revocation:you can revoke the app's access at any time via your Google Account permissions, Dropbox connected apps settings, Microsoft account app permissions, macOS System Settings (for iCloud Drive, Photos, and folder access), or the relevant provider settings. Upon revocation, stored tokens are invalidated and locally cached scan data can be cleared from within the app.
Incident response: in the unlikely event of a security incident affecting personal data, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by law.
8. Data Retention
Photo scan results and cleanup selections are stored locally as needed for the app experience. File metadata from connected sources — Google Drive (Google user data), Dropbox, OneDrive, and iCloud Drive — is cached only temporarily on your device for the duration of a scan and can be deleted at any time by clearing scan results in the app or uninstalling the app; revoking the app's access in the relevant provider settings also invalidates stored tokens. We retain no user data from any connected source on any server. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, meet legal obligations, and maintain business records.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you. You can also revoke folder, Photos, or drive permissions in macOS System Settings or the relevant provider settings.
10. Deletion Behavior, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law
No permanent deletion by the app:Vision AI: Photo Cleaner never permanently deletes any file or photo itself. Items you choose to remove are moved to the relevant trash location — the macOS Trash, the Photos library's "Recently Deleted" album, or the trash of the connected provider (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) — where they can be restored.
Automatic emptying by the system/provider:these trash locations are managed by macOS or the relevant provider and are typically emptied automatically after approximately 30 days, according to the provider's own rules. This automatic deletion is performed by the system or provider, not by the app. You are responsible for reviewing your selections before removal and for restoring any item from trash within the applicable period.
Limitation of liability:to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DijitalWorlds accepts no liability for any data loss, including loss of photos or files resulting from your removal selections, trash emptying by the system or a provider, provider account actions, or any other cause. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We accept no claims arising from data loss.
Governing law and jurisdiction: this policy and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the app or this policy are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye (İstanbul) have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
