Privacy Policy — Vision AI: Photo Cleaner
Last Updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DijitalWorlds processes information when you use Vision AI: Photo Cleaner and related website pages. The app is designed to help you find duplicate photos, similar photos, and screenshots while keeping photo analysis on your Mac.
- Photo comparison and grouping are designed to run locally on your device.
- We do not need to upload your photo library to detect cleanup candidates.
- The app does not delete photos automatically; you review selections before removal.
1. Data Controller
DijitalWorlds is the data controller for information processed through our website, support channels, and product communications. Local files and photos scanned by the app remain under your control on your Mac.
2. Data Processed by the App
To provide duplicate and similar photo cleanup, the app may access data you choose to scan, including:
- Photos, screenshots, image thumbnails, file names, paths, dates, sizes, and metadata needed for comparison.
- Local folders, Photos libraries, and connected storage sources you explicitly select.
- Scan progress, grouped cleanup candidates, and your review or delete selections.
This information is used to show results inside the app. We do not store your photo content on our servers.
3. Connected Sources
Local folders, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive are accessed through folders you explicitly select in the standard macOS file picker. For third-party drives, the provider's own macOS File Provider software makes those folders available in Finder.
The app does not sign in to Google, Dropbox, or Microsoft accounts, does not use their web APIs, and does not receive or store provider OAuth tokens or account credentials. You can end access by disconnecting the folder in the app or changing file access in macOS. If a selected file is cloud-only, macOS and the installed provider software may download it so the requested scan can run locally.
4. Website, Support, and Diagnostics
If you contact us for support, we may process the information you send, such as your email address, device model, macOS version, app version, screenshots you voluntarily attach, and support messages. We use this information only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve reliability.
5. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos for advertising profiles. We do not use your personal photo library or files made available through selected local or File Provider folders to develop, improve, or train generalized (non-personalized) AI and/or machine learning models. The app's on-device Vision analysis runs locally and does not send data to any AI model or third party.
6. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not receive, sell, rent, trade, or disclose the photos, videos, file contents, or file metadata that you scan. The app has no developer-operated backend for scanning, duplicate detection, or grouping.
- Selected folders: files are read through macOS file URLs and security-scoped permissions granted through the system file picker.
- File Provider folders: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and iCloud Drive data remains between your Mac and the provider software or service you separately use. The app does not contact those providers' APIs.
- Photos library: photos are accessed through Apple's Photos framework after you grant macOS permission.
Support information that you voluntarily send is handled separately as described above and may be processed only as needed to answer your request and operate our support channel.
7. Data Protection and Security
The app limits access and processing to what is needed for the scan you request:
- System-controlled access: Photos permissions and selected-folder permissions are granted and enforced by macOS. The app stores security-scoped folder bookmarks locally so it can reopen only the folders you selected.
- Local processing: photo analysis, duplicate detection, and grouping run on your Mac. Scanned photo and file contents are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- No provider credentials: the app does not request or store Google, Dropbox, or Microsoft OAuth credentials. Account synchronization is handled by provider software outside the app.
- Access control: you can disconnect selected folders in the app, clear locally saved scan history, or change Photos and file permissions in macOS System Settings.
- Incident response: in the unlikely event of a security incident affecting personal data, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by law.
8. Data Retention
Photo scan results, cleanup selections, thumbnails, and selected-folder bookmarks may be stored locally for scan history, performance, and continued folder access. You can disconnect folders and clear scan history in the app; uninstalling the app removes its app container subject to normal macOS behavior. Purgeable cache files may also be removed by macOS. We retain no scanned photo or file data on our servers. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, meet legal obligations, and maintain business records.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you. You can also revoke folder, Photos, or drive permissions in macOS System Settings or the relevant provider settings.
10. Deletion Behavior, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law
- System-managed removal: for file-backed items, the app asks macOS to move the selected file to Trash. For Photos-library items, it asks Photos to move the selected asset to "Recently Deleted." The app does not call Google, Dropbox, or Microsoft deletion APIs.
- File Provider behavior: when a selected folder is synchronized by iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, macOS and that provider determine whether a Trash action synchronizes to other devices and what recovery options or retention periods apply. If macOS cannot move a file safely to Trash, the app reports a failure instead of permanently deleting it as a fallback.
- Limitation of liability: to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DijitalWorlds accepts no liability for any data loss, including loss of photos or files resulting from your removal selections, trash emptying by the system or a provider, provider account actions, or any other cause. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We accept no claims arising from data loss.
- Governing law and jurisdiction: this policy and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the app or this policy are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye (İstanbul) have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
