Last Updated: October 18, 2026
DijitalWorlds (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Water Reminder - DropWise mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information (Stored Locally)
- Profile Data: Name, weight, height, age (for personalization and goal calculation)
- Preferences: Daily goal settings, notification preferences, selected mascot
1.2 Usage Data (Stored Locally)
- Water intake logs (timestamps, amounts, beverage types)
- Streak and challenge progress
- App settings and preferences
1.3 Health Data (With Permission)
- Water intake data synced with Apple Health (HealthKit)
- This data is stored on your device and shared only with Apple Health if you grant permission. It is not sent to Firebase or Meta.
1.4 Technical Information
- Device type, iOS version and app version (for compatibility, updates and bug fixes)
- Crash and diagnostic information that Apple makes available to developers, if you have chosen to share it with app developers in iOS settings
1.5 Measurement Data (Only If You Allow Tracking)
If you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, the Firebase Analytics and Meta SDKs inside the app may collect and send the following to Google and Meta:
- App usage and engagement events (for example, app opens and screen or feature interactions) and in-app purchase events
- To Meta: app open/activation events, purchase events and, where applicable, trial-start events. Purchase events can include the product ID, amount and currency.
- Identifiers such as an app instance ID and, where available and permitted by iOS, the device advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Technical information such as device model, operating system and version, app version, language and time zone settings, and network information such as the IP address, which the SDKs may use to derive approximate location (such as country or city)
The exact set of automatically collected items is defined by Google and Meta and can change with SDK updates. See their documentation and privacy policies linked in Section 5 for the current details.
1.6 Data We Do Not Send to Firebase or Meta
The app does not send your name, weight, height, water consumption logs, Apple Health data or precise location to Firebase or Meta.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Calculate personalized daily hydration goals
- Track your water intake and display progress
- Send hydration reminder notifications
- Sync data with Apple Health (if enabled)
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- With your tracking permission: analyze app usage and engagement, and measure purchases and the performance of our Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising
- Provide customer support
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
Storage methods:
- UserDefaults: Preferences and settings
- SwiftData (SQLite): Water logs and history
- iCloud (optional): If iCloud sync is enabled on your device, app data is synchronized through your private iCloud account, which is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy
3.2 Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. Your data security depends primarily on your device's security settings.
4. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only:
- With Apple Health: If you enable HealthKit integration
- With Google (Firebase Analytics) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram App Events SDK): the measurement data described in Section 1.5, only if you allow tracking
- With Apple: For processing in-app purchases (we don't access payment info)
- As Required by Law: To comply with legal obligations
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple HealthKit: Health data synchronization
- Apple StoreKit: In-app purchases
- Apple Push Notifications: Reminders
- Firebase Analytics (Google): app usage, engagement and purchase analytics, and Google Ads advertising measurement. Ad personalization is turned off in our Firebase configuration.
- Meta App Events SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc.; Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and UK): app activation, purchase and, where applicable, trial-start events for measuring advertising performance
Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for information about their data practices.
5.1 Optional Tracking Permission (ATT)
- Firebase Analytics data collection and Meta App Events are enabled only after you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Declining tracking does not stop you from using the app or from purchasing Premium.
- You can change your choice at any time in iOS under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking by turning DropWise off. Once the app re-applies your choice, it stops collecting and sending further measurement data.
- Turning tracking off does not automatically delete data that was already sent to Google or Meta.
5.2 Google and Meta
Google and Meta may process measurement data under their own privacy policies and may associate it with other information they hold about you or your device or account. We do not control that processing. For more information:
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: View all your data within the App
- Modify: Edit your profile and preferences anytime
- Delete: Delete data inside the App where available. Uninstalling the App removes its local data from your device, but does not automatically delete data in iCloud, Apple Health, or data already sent to Google or Meta.
- Revoke Permissions: Disable HealthKit or notifications in device Settings, and turn off tracking under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Opt-Out: Decline push notifications
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. International Users
The App is available worldwide. If you allow tracking, Google and Meta may process measurement data on servers outside your country, including the United States. Like most companies that provide analytics and advertising measurement services, they may rely on transfer mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses; the specific safeguards are determined by them and described in their privacy policies linked in Section 5.2. Our own servers do not receive your profile, water or health data. Data protection laws vary by country.
9. Data Retention
- Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
- iCloud and Apple Health: If enabled, data is kept in your private iCloud account or Apple Health until you delete it there
- Our servers: We do not retain your profile, water logs or health data on our own servers
- Google and Meta: Measurement data sent to them is retained for as long as needed for the purposes described in their own privacy policies and account or product settings, which we do not control. We cannot promise deletion of data they have already received.
- Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete iCloud data, Apple Health data, or data previously sent to Google or Meta
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the “Last Updated” date and posting a notice within the App for significant changes.
Legal Basis for Processing
- Core app features (water tracking, goals, reminders, Apple Health and iCloud sync, subscriptions): to provide the service you requested.
- Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events measurement: your consent, given through the iOS tracking permission prompt and withdrawable at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Support requests and legal obligations: our legitimate interest in responding to you, and compliance with applicable law.
11. Additional Rights – EU/EEA (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
12. Additional Rights – California (CCPA)
California residents have rights under CCPA, including the right to know, access, delete, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do NOT sell your personal information for money. With your tracking permission, advertising measurement data is shared with Google and Meta as described above, which some laws may treat as “sharing” for advertising purposes; you can stop this at any time through Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Turkey (KVKK)
DijitalWorlds is based in Turkey. If Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) applies to you, you may apply to us under Article 11, including to learn whether your data is processed, request information, request correction or deletion, and object to results against you. Send requests to [email protected].
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Only Turkish courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it, and we do not recognize the jurisdiction of any other courts. This does not limit mandatory consumer or data protection rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
